    7/23 Pursuit/White seabass



    Fished aboard the Pursuit out of 22nd St. Landing in San Pedro CA with 31 other anglers.



    Fished Catalina Island


    BDers representing.


    BFG on board raffling off prizes.


    Sacks full on fish.


    Happy anglers.





    Some very happy anglers. They each told me it was their very first white seabass. Congratulations!!!



    A very nice day at the island.




    I'll be back sometime next week.
    Overall fishing was good today. The bonito bite throughout the day and the calico bass chew all day long. Most of the calico bass were on the smaller side, but you can pick a few legals here and there. The two seabass were caught early in the morning on the flyline anchovies. I fished the plastic(Fishtrap whams) all day and caught 25 calico bass (4 were legal), a limit of bonita, and one short barracuda. The fishcount today was 32 anglers who caught 88 Kelp Bass, 4 California Sheephead, 7 California Barracuda, 180 Pacific Bonito, and 2 White Seabass.
